We had our little cousin Georgia over who is five. Lilly and Georgia LOVE to play together (most of the time). Well the other day when they were over playing apparently a slug got squished by someone and Georgia, Lilly, Josey, and Julia all buried it somewhere in our front yard. So yesterday I heard Georgia come up to Lilly and asked her if she wanted to go outside and sing their song to the dead slug. So they went outside and serenaded the dead slug grave with "Think of me Fondly" from The Phantom of the Opera. I wish I had had my camera cause it was a total crack up.

Also Lilly has decided that she LOVES graveyards. But every time we pass one she just says, "OH! There are the dead people!" At least she isn't scared.

The return of my sweet baby

I have been meaning to do this for a little while now because I think that Lilly deserves it. She has had a few posts devoted to her naughtiness and I think it is time to post about her comeback! My sweet baby has returned (for the most part). I am not sure if it has been the development of her language, her age, or the implementation of time-outs for her, but she has really turned a corner. No longer does she get into my make-up. No longer does she pull everything out of the pantry, and no longer is she screaming and crying very often. I can ask her to stop and she will! I can tell her no and she says, "okay mama". We are still working on not hitting our sisters when we want something and other typical two year old behavior but I can't tell you how happy I am that I actually enjoy being around her again. She seems much happier as well.

It is funny what different personalities our kids come with. We went to the dentist yesterday. Maddy and Josey were seen at the same time and then we were going to have Lilly checked out really more to just get her used to the dentist.

When I took Maddy to the dentist for the first time she was about two and she loved every minute of it. Seriously she laughed and smiled at the hygienist the whole time and they couldn't believe that this two year old was behaving this way. When I took Josey to the dentist for the first time she screamed and cried and was having NONE OF THAT! I think that it wasn't until maybe her last visit that we have actually been able to get her teeth cleaned because she would just freak out.

This visit was Lilly's first time at the dentist and I really didn't know what to expect. We walked between the rooms with Maddy and Josey getting their teeth cleaned and there was Maddy chatting away with the girl and then there was Josey in the other room just panicking and whining and crying and saying how scared she was. So Lilly started saying, "scary! scary!". So I thought for sure we weren't going to get anything more that a teeth counting if we were lucky. So when I sat down with her and she smiled and laughed at the hygienist I was a little surprised. She actually got her teeth cleaned and polished! And she loved it! Her little tongue was following the little spinney toothbrush thing all around her mouth trying to lick it off. Meanwhile Josey was STILL whining and crying about the whole ordeal even after it was all over. How can they be so different you know? It definately keeps things interesting!

6 Interesting Things About Me (Joselyn)

Maddy tagged me so here are my 6 interesting things.

1. I'm really explorative. And I like to explore a lot. I like to climb. Lilly follows me around a lot. And she does whatever I do.

2. I really like to play Star Wars with my sister. One of us is Luke and one of us is Leah. Usually I am Luke and Maddy is Leah and I talk really really weird because I get it from my dad. My dad talks weird sometimes and so I try to do it. Sometimes I get it sometimes I don't. One of us lives in a box. I like it because it is very out in space and I like to learn about that. It is mostly my favorite thing. I like to watch it.

3. I like learning. My favorite subject is science. You get to create new things. Things that you can play with and they won't break like flubber. Or tiny rheumatic balls.... that is something that sticks to magnetic thingies.

4. I love slugs but mostly snails. They like to slug around and people can hold them and you can be any age to do stuff with them. You don't have to be 6 you don't have to be 4. Usually you have to be a kid though because parents don't usually like to hold them. I set up traps for them to catch them. I put up a bug catcher. Then when they see it they will just want to climb into it. Then it will think it was lost. I will watch it and then when a slug climbs in then I will throw in some dirt and close it up and then I have a slug!

5. Well, um, I like going to school. It is really really fun. My teacher is named Mrs. L and I have a lot of kids in my class. I think like 6 kids.....or 7....or 8....whatever. My favorite friends are Avery Ben and Julia. There are some lover boys at my school, Kevin, Ryan (he used to break up with me) and three other boys and I don't know their names. They are CHASING me EVERYWHERE! I know they like me because they are always chasing after me and I don't know why and for some reason they just want me. I don't know why.

6. I love Daddy Daughter dates with my dad. I like to go get ice cream. Sometimes he lets us go out to McDonald's for dinner. Sometimes we go someplace where we can play.

Olivia tagged me and so here are 6 interesting things about me.

1. I am such a bookworm. I read lots of books. But the only time I read them is at night! But when i read them I'm up till midnight! Sometimes at school I read so much I get distracted and so I get in trouble. My favorite books are Magic Treehouse books. There are 37 of them and I have read uh.....I don't know maybe 7, maybe 8.

2. I LOVE basketball! I just started but I am catching on good. I can shoot ten baskets in a row. But the only thing is that I think i stink at it. But I try my hardest.

3. When it is dinnertime I am starving. Sometimes I eat more than 6 plates full. My favorite food to eat is......that's a tough one. I like Mac and cheese, pizza. all sorts of food. I love Stroganoff and chicken enchiladas and soups. Except the food that have tomatoes in them. I HATE tomatoes.

4. My favorite animal is a dolphin. Whenever I am in the water I try to be a dolphin. I like them because they jump out of the water and they make a weird sound. I can never make it right. My grandpa says I am a fish. Because I swim a lot. Whenever it's summertime I ask my mom everyday to go swimming.

5. My favorite movie is Star WARS! I've never seen the rest of Empire Strikes Back. It is very frustrating. And if I could I would rent that movie. It is SOOO good! I like how Chewbacca makes that weirdest noise ever. My dad can make that sound! But it scared me when he makes that sound. I hold my breath when he makes that sound. Luke Skywalker and Princess Leah are kinda my favorite. Except for I like Han too. So I don't really know who is my favorite person. But if I had to choose between Luke and Leah, then I would choose Luke. Because he is adorable.

6. Something else interesting about me is that I move from place to place to place. I have moved 10 times! I have been making friends ever since. But it is hard and sometimes I wish I was back with Abby. WAAAH! It's so sad when you move though. But when you move ten times you get over it. My favorite place that I have lived was Las Vegas. Because it was so dry and hot and we could jump on the tramp almost everyday and we could swim almost everyday of the year. It would NEVER get cold. The exciting part about Las Vegas was that one time it even snowed! I like Portland is that it's very rainy and the only thing it does is rain. I like to go to the ocean because Seaside has the best beach in the world.
